It’s motion into the period for newborn Android phones pass up here at Android Community – after the Samsung Galaxy S landed on our matted earlier, a newborn HTC Wildfire has meet appeared too.  HTC’s newborn entry-level phone prefabricated its entry a period or so ago, and today we’ve one of the prototypal analyse units in to wager how substantially it holds up.

Aesthetically, the Wildfire cherrypicks from the rest of HTC’s range: ostensibly it’s a mini-Desire, with the aforementioned optical trackpad, but the touch-sensitive buttons low the concealment and the colouration plot are from the Nexus One.  Meanwhile the patterned backwards commission looks same the backwards of the HTC HD2, though the region country doesn’t vanish separately.  There’s also Android 2.1 with HTC Sense, again from the Desire.

Of course, erst you invoke it on the more crushed specifications of the Wildfire side their head.  The pass is a 3.2-inch QVGA LCD panel, kinda than the WVGA AMOLED of the Desire (or indeed the HVGA of the Legend), though different the Tattoo it essentially replaces it has a capacitive touchscreen commission kinda than resistive.  That touchscreen is nicely responsive, and patch the Wildfire exclusive has a 528MHz processor it seems to cut finished the menus without lag.  We’ll be checking to wager how substantially it copes unexploded downbound with apps, of course.

The 5-megapixel camera (with autofocus and diode flash) is a recognize carry-over from the Desire, and of instruction there’s the customary WiFi b/g, Bluetooth, 3G/UMTS and GPS.  Build calibre is reassuringly high, and at 4.2 x 2.4 x 0.48 inches it’s a relatively auto figure as well.  We’ll be swing the Wildfire finished its paces aweigh of its flooded review, so until then savor the unboxing & demonstrate recording and the room below!
