When the Motorola Droid lands on Verizon Wireless in a pair weeks, chances are it module be the prototypal Android phone rocking OS edition 2.0. The fact that this has been rumored for quite awhile and that it appears to be reaching genuine begs the discourse – are Verizon/Motorola effort an exclusive track?

That’s just what Sascha Segan from Gearlog asked reps from both Samsung and HTC. While Samsung – who fresh launched the Galaxy and Moment with the Behold 2 upcoming didn’t respond, HTC said they indeed hit had Android 2.0 in-house for quite awhile and are employed on whatever tasteful treats for Android fans to consume.

As to which upcoming HTC Android phones would hit 2.0 was unclear, especially considering they’re every rumored devices with null authorised at this point. HTC Desire (Droid Eris), Devour, Dragon, Passion, Predator… garner your poison. If they ALL had 2.0 we sure wouldn’t complain, but I’d look that the higher supercharged devices separate 2.0 patch whatever lesser spec’d devices follow to 1.6.

Regardless, pleasant to wager HTC already has whatever Android 2.0 phones in the funnel.
