We haven’t ease told you most the Motorola Beam Smartbook which, in January, was said to be actuation in the season for AT&T. Why? Because at the instance the Beam was streaming on Windows CE. LaptopMag caught up with the Beam a pair life past and SURPRISE – it today has the feeling of doing playing with Android!

They admitted it was a lowercase “rough around the edges” but that is what tends to hap when you’re desegregation Android with a newborn example of hardware. That’s ground we hit alpha and beta versions – effort runs if you will!

The Beam has an 8.9-inch screen, Nvidia Tegra chipset, sports HD recording playback, has HDMI Out for 1080p recording and module allow CinemaNow for downloading payment videos. Sounds pretty beatific to me!

Now comes the disappointment… you won’t hit admittance to Android Market. Mobinova claims they are employed on their possess edition of an app/game accumulation for Android, but with AT&T already forcing whatever safekeeping when it comes to 3rd band apps, it’ll be engrossing to wager what the Mobinova Beam has in store.

LaptopMag complained most a cramped keyboard, but said if the toll is right, the Beam with Android could be an captivating substance for AT&T customers. Price and fellow ease unknown.

Head over to LaptopMag for a recording and more details.
